Uplifting the mood & energy - one wall at a time.
A traditional way to create a mural is to take paint and put it directly to the wall. This works great except when that wall is located in a place with crazy weather or in a hard to access location.
Being an artist based in Wisconsin, I find the easiest way to create large murals is to have them painted on Polytab paper and then glued to a wall like wallpaper. Creating a mural this way allows for it to be worked on in the studio any time and has the option to be a "paint by number" style so the community can help color block it.
Since 2017, I've created of 50 murals in my community and I love bringing a new look to beautify a space! I always begin a mural project by creating mockups for the client that can be photoshopped on to the wall they wish to create it on. This gives them a clear picture of how their new space will look.
A mural is always more fun when you can get the community involved! For many businesses, I've created murals to be in a "paint by number" style and then host a paint session for the public to attend. This is a great opportunity for people to come together and learn about the business who is commissioning the mural, and about the process of creating.
